Lukas Poensgen is Co-Head of EMEA M&A based in Frankfurt. He is responsible for driving the M&A franchise across the region and acts as senior execution lead on key M&A transactions. In addition, Lukas covers a range of clients across the DACH region on the corporate and financial sponsor side. Lukas joined Bank of America in 2013 and has been part of the GAS IBK team before moving to the EMEA M&A Group in 2021. Most recently, Lukas acted as Head of M&A for the DACH region. In 2018, Lukas served as EMEA Chief Resource Officer in London for one year. Prior to joining Bank of America, Lukas worked four years at UBS in their investment banking / corporate finance team. Lukas holds a M.Sc. (MBA equivalent) from the University of Cologne, Germany as well as a CEMS Master in International Management from Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland. As part of his masters studies, Lukas spent one term at the National University of Singapore.
